What
do you like to have on a cold winter’s day? What makes your heart smile
when you just need a hug? What do we want most of all when we have
an injury?
A
good, warm friend – that seems to fit the bill for most little boys
and girls. Where the soft and snuggly stuffed animal friend leaves
off, the Comfy Cozy Friends pick up. They are adorable – their
faces just beg for kisses. They are soft – commercially made skins
make for super soft and machine washable comfort, for child and
parents alike.
But
best of all, they are WARM! With their removable heat pack inserts
that you can heat in 60 seconds in the microwave, they bring the
stuffed animal to the next level. If sore muscles or “booboos”
are the order of the day, the inserts can be placed in the freezer
and used as an ice pack as well. ;)
Teach
your child the benefit of taking care of another loved one. The
lessons of nurturing and helping another are brought home better when
your friend feels like the warm body of another person. The
children take their new friend everywhere – the only problem you
will have is being asked to warm it up! We have found that the
children interact with their warm friends more frequently than with a
normal stuffed animal. Role-playing takes an imaginative twist when
they pretend their animal can talk and can feel the same way they do.
After all, they are warm, just like them.
We
have spent many years in the massage therapy industry, working with
injured adults and children as well as educating parents on how to
interact with their children using positive touch therapies. We have
designed these packs to help children with injuries recuperate and move through the trauma of being in an out-of-control situation.
